Tatum is the Celtics' leading scorer and rebounder, and his absence was a major factor in the loss. The Celtics were also without Marcus Smart, who is out with a calf injury.
The Celtics will now have to try to win their next two games without Tatum and Smart. They will face the Miami Heat on Friday night and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon.
