The DHC-515 aircraft is a versatile, twin-engine, amphibious aircraft manufactured by De Havilland Canada. It is designed for a variety of roles, including search and rescue, medical evacuation, and firefighting.

The acquisition of these 12 aircraft will significantly enhance RescEU's ability to respond to natural disasters and humanitarian crises in Europe and around the world.

Benefits of the DHC-515 Aircraft

  • Twin-engine design provides increased safety and reliability
  • Versatile platform suitable for a wide range of missions

Role of the CCC

The CCC is a Crown corporation that provides a range of services to the Government of Canada and Canadian businesses.

In this case, the CCC acted as the prime contractor for the G2G contract and will be responsible for managing the acquisition and delivery of the aircraft.

Importance of the Agreement

The signing of this G2G contract is a significant milestone in the partnership between Canada and France.

It demonstrates Canada's commitment to supporting the EU's civil protection efforts and strengthens the relationship between the two countries.
